Miss Naughty

Last summer I helped a friend with a student film called "Miss Naughty" The filmed called for a portrait of a cat and I was asked to paint one. I came up with this pretty much the day before it was needed on set hence the awkward shoulder stance the cat is making.
Here is my painting on set

The painting is based on an animatronic toy that was used on set.

Here's it is on set...
This is what it looked like by the end of the shoot...

Alien Whore

This is a blog dedicated to my artwork, I figured it was about time. The process has been slow but I figured I may as well jump in and write an introductory post.

I began painting regularly in the winter of 2007. What drove me to begin is still a bit of a mystery to me but I dove into it with enthusiasm. A friend of mine called this time a Renaissance period in my life because it was a sudden burst of creativity in my life.
About a year later I began to dabble in photography.

From 1999-2001 I attended a Waldorf School,  which encouraged my creativity and artistic skills to flourish.

The first collection of paintings I made I called "Alien Whore". The inspiration came from some chat room hazing my sister and I did in a UFO chat room.

I have one more alien painting but gave it to a close friend and never got a chance to photograph it before he moved.
